Family Watchdog Bites Back

Posted on Monday, April 24, 2017
Family Watchdog gets tens of thousands of visitors on our site daily. People are checking to see who lives near them, around them or close to their work/school. But with 324 MILLION people living in the US to date, it's not a whole lot.

18% of adult women have been raped in their lifetime. EIGHTEEN PERCENT! That's almost 1 out of every 5. Imagine 5 of your friends/coworkers, statistically speaking, one of them has been or will be raped in their lifetime. WHY!

More crime statistics here: https://www.nsopw.gov/en-US/Education/FactsStatistics?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

It's time to talk about sexual crimes, huh? Have you sat your children down and gave them "the talk"? (No, not that one, the one that we are talking about here) Talking with your children and teaching them the difference between "good touch" and "bad touch" or "good secrets" and "bad secrets" can set the platform for their whole life. How many crimes go unreported? In one study, they only found 16% of adult rapes being reported to law enforcement. Which means, the rapist is still out there, still prowling and still waking up in their own bed vs. a jail cot every morning. How is that fair?

We need to rise up and learn to speak out about what is happening to us! We need to teach our children as well as ourselves to speak up so justice can be served. We need to teach our children that NO means NO. Lets teach our girls to be ladies and our boys to be gentlemen.

We also need to wake up and realize these people are out there. They live in your neighborhood, your apartment complex, they work at your bank, they attend your churches, their children go to your children's schools and one just sold you your new car. It's not a time to be scared, it's about being in control and being aware. And at Family Watchdog we try to bring that awareness to you!

Share our site with your family, friends and coworkers. Have that talk with your children and other loved ones. And always go with your gut and be aware. It's time to fight back.
